Vitale’s V Foundation Gala: Passion with a purpose.

The 13th Annual Dick Vitale Gala, benefiting the V Foundation in its fight against pediatric cancer, was, in the words of Jim Valvano for whom the V Foundation is named, an evening of laughter, thought and tears.

Dick Vitale's goal for his 13th annual Gala is to raise $3.5 million for pediatric cancer research for the Jimmy V Foundation. 

After raising millions of dollars and honoring children battling cancer, Dick Vitale said more is still needed to help children with cancer. 

Friday night, the Dick Vitale Gala raised a record-setting $3.7 million in funds for The V Foundation, surpassing the goal of $3.5 million. The funds benefit pediatric cancer research.

Jason Derulo Entertains at Forty Carrot's Firefly Gala

After years at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Forty Carrot’s eighth annual Firefly Gala moved to the Ritz-Carlton Resort for its gala dinner and concert featuring Jason Derulo. 

The venue was divided into three areas: under tent on the east side of the pool for the reception and silent auction, under tent on the west side of the pool for dinner, and back upstairs to the ballroom for the concert. It all looked beautiful and flowed very smoothly under the direction of Mary Kenealy and Janet Allen of Mary Kenealy Events.

It’s no secret that host Dick Vitale has a passion for ending pediatric cancer.

The 13th annual Dick Vitale Gala, which raises money for the V Foundation for Cancer Research, reminded eventgoers of how much that passion fuels Vitale’s philanthropic efforts.
